
With the same dedication that I continue to serve my country for 20 years in the U.S. Navy Reserve, I will endeavor to represent every constituent in District 9.
David Cougle

David enlisted in the U.S. Navy Reserve in 2003.



David became a commissioned officer in 2007. After passing the bar exam, David began to volunteer for more opportunities in the U.S. Navy Reserve, allowing him to travel to various parts of the world such as Asia, Europe and Africa. In 2011, David volunteered for his first deployment in Kuwait, where he spent nearly a year working in the desert near Iraq and in Jordan.



After returning from his deployment in 2012, David continued volunteering for various assignments while also practicing law with his law firm.



In 2018, he volunteered for his second deployment in the island nation of Bahrain, where he served with the U.S. Marines in Task Force 51/5.


Today, David is a Commander in the U.S. Navy Reserve and will make 20 years of service this September.
